Liberty FC is thrilled to announce the addition of 21-year-old right back, Thomas Bellman, to its roster. Bellman joins the club's star defender Sylvanus Bockarie in what promises to be a formidable backfield for Liberty.
In an exclusive interview with Bellman, he shared his thoughts on the strengths he brings to Liberty FC's defense, particularly in the right back position.
"As a full back, I like to go forward. I think I can bring some attacking prowess to the position and the backline to help the team get up the field and participate in the attacking third."
Despite being only 22 years old, Bellman has high aspirations for personal growth and contribution to the team.
"I aspire to win games and silverware with Liberty FC while growing a bond with my teammates. I also want to help grow the reputation of Liberty FC to put the club on the map within the KC metro."
When asked about handling pressure situations on the field and his approach to teamwork, Bellman confidently stated,
"I don't feel pressure on the field. I know my capabilities and what I can contribute to the team. I always strive to show my best when playing, for myself and my teammates."
Inspired by the likes of Joao Cancelo and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Bellman brings a blend of defensive solidity and attacking flair to the right back position.
"I live very close to where the club trains and Liberty itself, so I am very fond of the area the club is in. The manager is also a big reason why I chose Liberty FC and what he wants to achieve,"
Bellman revealed when asked about what attracted him to the club.
With his attacking mindset, defensive prowess, and commitment to the team's objectives, Thomas Bellman is set to make a significant impact at Liberty FC.
